StemCo ended its week-long Global Round Olympiad with an award ceremony for winners from over a dozen countries at the auditorium of NUS Shaw Foundation Alumni House, with medals given out for multiple categories including mathematics and science. Students flew in to compete in this global round over several mornings, with the afternoons left free to tour Singapore’s best sights as it was their first time in the country for most of them.
Talented performers from Central Asia entertained the full house with dance and song from their home countries during the brief intermissions in the 3-hour long ceremony, where over a hundred awards were dished out to the excited recipients.
