Some of us are shy, feel a bit awkward about posing in front of the camera (I prefer to be behind the camera myself), but portraits are without a doubt a crucial part of our image, on our dating profile, LinkedIn, social media or company card.
My favourite kinds of portraits are a combination of bits of the real you, the image you are trying to present, be it business or personal and lighting that flatters your features.
Getting a portrait done can be a game changer for your career, life, and personal brand, and the investment in an hour’s session can go a long, long way.
Get up, get dressed, and we’ll have it over and done with before you can say “cheese!” – though I promise I’ll never say that as a cue, it’s too cheesy indeed!
Dressing up for a portrait shoot is important but it doesn’t have to be a chore! Quite a few of my ingenious clients scheduled their portrait session just before a friend’s wedding, and allow for the day’s styling to carry through from day to night.
Business portraits can also be done before or after conferences to save time. You can also bring an outfit change or plan a versatile outfit that can look both formal and smart casual – giving us the ability to shoot for say, corporate and a dating profile.
Having travelled 6 continents, I enjoy getting to know new faces, and often go out just to network or host travelers who visit our little island! Portrait sessions give me more time to get to know just one person, and the opportunity for this deeper connection allows you to relax more and for me to shoot more natural looking photos!
Depending on what kinds of look you’re after and the comfort level (air-conditioned, natural, shaded), I have quite a few places around Singapore to recommend. I’m also happy to work with your needs, in case you need to dash to that wedding or conference later in that day.
I’ve shot for many kinds of profiles, including business, personal, fitness, influencers, entrepreneur and more, and can cater our portrait sessions to your location needs, outfit changes, and timing. I’ve also covered Singapore’s version of Humans of New York!
While online portraits don’t collect dust, they do get slightly outdated. I mean, do you really want to show new friends that old outfit from the 2000s? Personal portraits are a great way to update your socials, especially if you have a decent sized following or want to put forth a great image in case your potential employers go sleuthing.
Formal (enough for your industry), smart, confident – everything you could want in a LinkedIn shot. Corporate headshots are a must-have at different points of your career or entrepreneurship journey, and having that money shot literally brings in opportunities you otherwise might have missed out on.
Are you a yoga instructor or fitness trainer? A good looking headshot for your practice or even the studio you teach at helps to build your brand as a trainer, and our portrait session can also include you in action, doing a beautiful pincha mayurasana, L-sit, walking the highline or climbing.
Graduations are a big milestone and should be celebrated! Graduation portraits can be paired with friends or family, or you can have it all by yourself as a reward for your hard work! Make the most of your gown rental by getting a graduation portrait done, so you at least have one good picture on this momentous occasion.
Yaaaay! Thank you for my solo photos – they look so good that I cannot choose my top 5 photos
Thanks for the pictures, they look great and I’m happy with them! Will be using them for LinkedIn and work

As cliché as it sounds, just be yourself! Relaxed, happy subjects make for better photoshoots, and if you are shy about posing like me, not to worry, we can find poses or re-enact scenes that feels most like you, take breathers in between and chat away throughout the session so that it doesn’t feel like you’re on camera.
A single hour portrait session for one person can include one or two outfit changes and two or three locations, depending on how far apart they are. It can also be open-ended, I’ve shot portraits while covering vacation photoshoots, and even combined it with an extended family session. Let me know what your needs are and I’ll try my best to accommodate!
