Yoga & Fitness

branding | action | grace

Like how we can bask in the healing nature of yoga, or focus on the engagement of specific muscle groups, sports are a blend of science and art. Even within the art of movement itself, a practice can be considered nurturing, healing or invigorating and topsy-turvy fun all rolled into one.

So what does you as an instructor or your sports or yoga brand stand for?

Here’s where we come in and figure it out together, and develop beautiful visual cues that represent who you or your studio are. So much can be said without words.

Snaps with a fellow yogi and climber

I’ll backbend or high step just to get the shot 😉

I’ve loved and practiced yoga since 2008, climbed around the world since 2012 and started teaching climbing in 2016. As I’ve been in the advanced classes for several years now, I’ve had the opportunity to work with fellow instructors and the best in their fields for both yoga and climbing.

These communities have been warm-hearted and supportive, and I truly enjoy working with both yogis and climbers to capture their authentic self, and them being in their element. This can be done in nature or in your studio, with extended studio shots to capture the aesthetics of your space.

Why Choose Us for your Yoga & Fitness Shoot?

#1 Knowledge of fitness industry

While one lifetime is too short to get good at every sport, depth in yoga and climbing plus breadth in other sports allows me to understand angles that look good in certain poses, and key shots that capture the essence of certain movements.

#2 Experience in shooting fitness

I’ve shot for dancers and yogis across Singapore’s iconic locations such as National Gallery, Marina One and Botanical Gardens, and make an effort to get to know what are your signature moves and strengths to showcase on a shoot.

#3 Heart for adventure

Having climbed and done yoga outdoors in over 40 countries, I love blending natural light and the fluidity of the human body in settings both beautiful and dramatic.

Team Photos

Get your tribe together for that group shot that could be the cover of your website or a valuable PR asset. These poses can be a blend of seriousness and fun that showcase the vibe of your studio brand and your company’s vision.

Headshots

Instructor headshots are a good way to introduce individual team members to your clients and future clients. This is often paired with a short description of classes taught under their profile.

For freelancing teachers, headshots are a great way to update your Mindbody or LinkedIn profile as well.

Action Shots

Every class description, page or social feed benefits from some action shots, which capture the essence of what the class is about. Done right, it can also demonstrate the level of difficulty one can expect, or the kind of props used in lessons.

Studio Coverage

Got a brand new boutique studio? Share how zen your new class space feels, or the thoughtful touches at the reception and shower areas with your potential clients by having interior shots done.

Branding Assets

Your branded props, gears, mats, apparels and more deserve a beautiful product shot or two that can be used for social media marketing or on e-commerce pages.

Fitness Events Coverage

If you or your studio is taking part in an annual festival, celebrating your anniversary or a big milestone with a fitness event, having photo coverage is a great way to spread the word about what’s new and happening with your brand.

I almost thought it was someone else –  you brought out the best in me. The pictures are so beautiful, thank you so much!

– Jiaying

I love the lighting in the pictures! They turned out so well, thank you for making me look better than I imagined!

What to expect on our yoga photoshoot

Before our shoot, we’ll get on the same page on what you or your team needs in terms of assets and we can walk through what can be achieved in a given amount of time in a call or through email conversation.

Having mobile pictures of what your space looks like, and understanding the limitations and strengths of your location allows me to better prepare for the shoot.

Details such as what classes you plan to offer or are already offering and how big your team is are also useful for planning.

Depending on how our discussion goes, our shoot might be a single or multiple sessions across various locations or a single spot.

The most important part – we’ll be in having light-hearted fun in a safe manner, where you can best express yourself in poses!
