There are only 500 Black and White colonial houses left in Singapore, often tucked away behind lush forests or narrow winding roads within several neighbourhoods. Brad’s been living in one for over the past decade (and so have some of our ministers), and it’s easy to see why any nature-loving person would fall in love with the space. Broad verandas, a relaxing green lounge space and one of the biggest gardens you can have in Singapore makes for unparalleled tranquil living in a bustling island city.
Over the years, Brad has painstakingly designed not just a cozy hipster space filled with rare vintage art pieces from his adventures abroad, but also a habitat for friendly little critters. Black-naped orioles are nesting in his garden, and an actual frog lives behind his print art! And of course, part-time stray Chino, leaps in and out using his barbecue pit as a platform.
Brad wanted to capture what a decade patient nurturing has turned his humble abode into, and that’s where I stepped into the picture. Plus point – we’ve also captured some headshots for his professional use while at it!
